B.Sc Perfusion Technology is a 3-year course for the students who are undergraduate. Perfusion technology is the study of physiology and the pathology of the lungs and the allied respiratory organs of the human body.
The perfusion technology must have a thorough understanding of both respiratory and circulatory systems, and be able to operate complex equipment because Perfusion Technologists prepare and operate heart-lung machines and other sophisticated equipment as directed by healthcare physicians.
B.Sc. Perfusion Technology is suitable for those who want to know skills regarding operating extracorporeal circulation equipment during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or replace the patient’s cardiopulmonary/circulatory function and ensure the proper management of physiologic functions by monitoring the necessary variables.

Career after B.Sc Perfusion Technology
Perfusion technology has a wide range of applications since it is an essential job function that cannot be easily replaced. A perfusionist is required by every surgical team to control the technical elements of the medical equipment so that the physicians and nurses may concentrate on their duties.
After finishing a B.Sc. in perfusion technology, students might pursue further studies in the field. Candidates with a master’s degree and specialty will have a greater chance of landing a job and will have an advantage over the competition. A perfusionist is also responsible for operating the heart-lung machines that keep the patient alive during critical surgeries.
These perfusionists and technicians are in charge of the surgery’s heart and lungs apparatus and equipment. A perfusion technologist is responsible for keeping the surgical team informed about the patient’s perfusion status and the functioning of the heart and lungs.
